HyperVolume is made by Dayo Akinkuowo. It plays audio files you already own and makes them louder. It has no sign-up, no login and no user account, because there is nothing to log in to. This page says plainly what stays on your phone, what leaves it, and who receives it.
What stays on your device
All of it, in ordinary use:
- The audio files you import. HyperVolume copies them into its own storage on your device so it can play and process them. They are never uploaded.
- Everything HyperVolume does to the sound. The volume boost, the compressor and limiter, the ten-band equalizer, the bass shelf and the reverb all run on your device, in the app. No audio is sent anywhere to be processed.
- Your per-track settings, your library, your queue, and your preferences.
Deleting a track in the app deletes the copy HyperVolume made. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
What leaves your device
Three things, and none of them is your audio.
Purchases
If you subscribe or buy the lifetime option, the purchase itself is handled by Apple. HyperVolume uses RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives the receipt Apple issues, the resulting subscription status, and an anonymous identifier it generates for the install. HyperVolume does not give it your name, your email address or any account details, because it does not have them.
Apple
Apple processes the payment, ties it to your Apple ID, and provides the receipt used to restore purchases on another device. If you tap the option to rate the app, that opens Apple's own rating prompt. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
The recommendation card
HyperVolume shows an occasional card suggesting another app, marked as an ad. It is served by CrossPromo, which records that a card was shown and whether it was tapped. Per CrossPromo, it does not store a device ID, an installation ID, an account ID, an IP address, a user agent or a locale, and it does not track people across apps. HyperVolume does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you.

Permissions HyperVolume asks for
- Your music library. Only so you can pick tracks to import. HyperVolume reads the tracks you choose and copies them locally. It cannot read Apple Music or any other copy-protected track, and neither can any other app.
- Files. When you import from the Files app, iOS hands HyperVolume only the file you picked. It has no access to anything else.
You can refuse or withdraw either permission in iOS Settings. HyperVolume will simply have nothing to play.
What HyperVolume does not do
- It does not upload your audio, ever.
- It has no account, so it holds no name, email address or password.
- It does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not sell or rent information about you. There is nothing to sell.
- It does not record you. It has no microphone permission.
Children
HyperVolume is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, write to the address below and it will be removed.
Your rights
Because there is no account, almost everything is already in your hands: your files and settings live on your device, and deleting the app removes them. For the purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat, you can ask for a copy or ask for them to be deleted by writing to hello@madebydayo.co. If you are in the EU or the UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app.
